KYC and AML sit at the heart of private markets. When these processes work well, investors are onboarded faster, funds can be launched on schedule, and wealth managers spend their time on client outcomes, not admin.

These outcomes are the result of deliberate product and operational design: a purposeful mix of intelligent automation and human-in-the-loop review to make onboarding faster, more reliable and more consistent.


How we did it


We concentrated on the points of friction that cause delays and repeated reviewer loops, and redesigned the process to front-load quality and automate routine decisions. Key elements include:


  • Catch problems early. Real-time document-type validation and mandatory field checks at intake prevent incomplete or incorrect submissions from ever reaching a reviewer. Stopping simple errors at source removes the most common cause of rework.

  • Reduce manual data entry. OCR extracts and validates key fields from IDs and bank statements so forms can be pre-filled. Fewer manual inputs mean fewer errors and fewer missing fields that delay decisions.

  • Extract, triage and route automatically. Advanced Natural Language Processing and Large Language Model tooling read documents and inbound correspondence to extract structured information and triage items to the right teams. Automated routing speeds resolution and reduces handoffs.

  • Standardise reviewer decisions. Automated workflows and reviewer playbooks create consistent first-pass outcomes. By standardising how edge cases are handled, reviewers make the same high-quality decisions more efficiently and the team can concentrate on genuine exceptions.

  • Measure and iterate. We continuously track which checks are automated and which require human verification, then iterate. This allows us to extend automation for routine checks while keeping humans responsible for higher-risk judgements.
